Blowout pendulum swings back in Houston’s favor as Rangers fall 7-2

The Texas Rangers mustered a couple of runs whilst the Houston Astros scored seven runs.

It wasn’t quite 15-1 but the Rangers never really looked like they were threatening to come away with a victory tonight at any point.

The final Silver Boot series of the season has been a strange one with Texas being outscored 22-3 in the two losses, while outpacing Houston 8-1 in their win last night. If things decide to stick to this bizarre script, I guess the Rangers will win by a final score of like 27-1 in tomorrow’s season series finale.

Player of the Game: Willie Calhoun returned to the lineup and smacked two of the four hits that the Rangers collected on the evening, including a double.

Up Next: The Rangers and Astros play one final time against each other in 2021 with RHP Glenn Otto listed as the starting pitcher for Texas against LHP Framber Valdez for Houston. First pitch in Thursday’s finale from The Shed is scheduled for 7:05 pm CT.
