Cowboy Fans Always Looking for the Bigger Better Deal
The circus came to Dallas on Monday, it made a stop at the Star in Frisco and then had an appearance at American Airlines Center Monday night. The Odell Beckham Jr show made its last stop on the current tour and the Metroplex did not disappoint. For weeks now we have been watching and waiting for OBJ to make a decision, to let us know which team will have the privilege of having him in the locker room for the rest of this year and perhaps several years to come.
The pomp and circumstance surrounding OBJ in Dallas was second to none, blowing away the nere dinner the Giants served and who knows what happened in Buffalo, we never really heard. But you will hear about OBJ’s visit to Dallas because the Cowboys went over and above to court the 30 year old wide receiver who brings with him two surgery scars on the same knee. Buy for Cowboys fans none of that matters, all that matters is that Jerry Jones gets his next shiny toy, a toy that may or may not work. Odell did not work out for the Giants or the Bills, and whether he will for the Cowboys remains to be seen. But to Cowboys fans, that doesn’t matter, all that does is get OBJ in a Cowboys uniform all the rest will take care of itself.
The Cowboys seem to be the overwhelming favorites to sign Beckham, the numbers will certainly be crunched in the coming days and for Cowboys fans the contract signing can’t come soon enough. The OBJ chants echoed in the Mavericks arena on Monday night and if Cowboys fans have their way, soon it will be the sound filling AT&T Stadium. You see for Cowboys fans who have been without for 26 years, any shiny object flashed before their eyes is hope of a Super Bowl trophy. Is the answer Odell Beckham. Jr? Maybe, but if not, the next bigger better deal is right around the corner.
