It feels great to wake up on a Monday following a Cowboys win…especially a win like yesterday when most, including me, did not give them much of a chance.
With what we saw in week one against Tampa Bay, I could not have been more impressed with the plan Kellen Moore had for Cooper Rush, who is now 2-0 as a starter. I should say, impressed with the first half plan. I thought Moore got too conservative in the second half.
But Cooper Rush made some clutch plays late. Noah Brown made clutch catches. Lamb, Parsons, Diggs all made big plays to save the Cowboys season, at least for a week.
Plenty of dumb penalties. Poor clock management at the end of the game, but give credit where it is due. Dallas got the W. On a Sunday with multiple teams blowing double-digit leads, the Cowboys were not one of them. It would have been very Cowboy-like if they had.
A friend of mine who is a Ravens fan went to that wild game against the Dolphins. He texted “That might be one of the most painful sporting events I have ever experienced.” He added “Now I know what it feels like to be a Cowboys fan.”
And that makes the win over Cincinnati even sweeter!
