Unvaccinated NBA players and team personnel must submit to weekly COVID-19 testing this season, the league told its clubs in a memo Tuesday. Aug. 30, 2022. There will be certain exceptions to that mandate, the league said, such as when the unvaccinated person is considered to have been “recently recovered” from COVID-19.(AP Photo/Jeff Chiu, File)
Tanking…none of us like it but we understand that is how to play the game in the NBA. The rules are set up to reward teams that lose.
You can’t build from the middle so bottom out and get in the lottery.
The NBA is not set up for relegation like in European soccer but we have a way to solve tanking.
Stop rewarding teams for losing. There has to be a penalty for not making the playoffs, not a reward.
Have massive fines for teams that don’t make the playoffs and give the teams that make the play-in tournament better lottery odds than those that don’t make the playoffs.
Imagine the competitive basketball that we would see.
