SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The National Weather Service is out with some new information about the possibility of strong storms moving through the region later this week.

NWS is predicting showers and thunderstorms are expected for Thursday into early Friday. A few of the storms could be strong to severe and at this point, it looks like those could impact San Antonio between 1 P.M. Thursday and 4 A.M. Friday.

There is a threat of large hail and damaging winds at the front of the system and an isolated risk of a tornado.

The Hill Country, the I-35 corridor and the Coastal Plains are the areas that could be impacted the most.

Another update on this weather situation will be sent out by the National Weather Service by 2 P.M. Tuesday.
