Will Tua Tagovailoa or Teddy Bridgewater be the starter for the Dolphins?
One of the most bizarre rumors circulating NFL media last week was that the Miami Dolphins were working on a trade — in 2022 — for recently unretired Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel addressed that strange report Monday and also tried to tamp down another potential quarterback controversy in Miami by remaining adamant that Tua Tagovailoa is the starter.
First, the Brady report, which came from a veteran Boston-area broadcaster. McDaniel was incredulous when Brady’s name even came up late in his NFL annual meeting news conference.
“Tom Brady, the Super Bowl winner?” McDaniel replied “No. That has not been in the conversation at all. I think that’s what you call fake news.”
