KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas City Royals right-hander Alec Marsh has not allowed a hit through six innings of Thursday’s game against the New York Yankees.

Marsh has walked two and struck out five while throwing 79 pitches. The Royals led 2-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth.

The Yankees lead Major League Baseball in runs (356) and have the best record in the majors. They rank second in home runs (104), on-base percentage (.334), slugging (.440) and on-base plus slugging (.774). In winning the first three games of the four-game series, the Yankees scored 25 runs on 30 hits.
