UTSA’s Sincere McCormick declares for 2022 NFL Draft The star running back for the Roadrunners is off to professional football.

UTSA Roadrunners running back Sincere McCormick is off to the NFL, and will not play in the Frisco Bowl for the Conference USA champions.

As the starter for the 12-1 Roadrunners, McCormick finished the season with 299 carries for 1479 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground, as well as 22 receptions for 184 more yards. In three years in San Antonio, he picked up 3929 total yards on 5.4 yards per carry with 35 total touchdowns.

The loss is huge for UTSA in the Frisco Bowl against San Diego State, one of the best defensive teams in the nation. Brenden Brady is the closest leading rusher from the backfield with just 232 yards rushing this season. There’s probably not a team in the country that will be more affected by the loss of their best running back.

For bettors, this wasn’t unexpected however. Right now at DraftKings Sportsbook, the Roadrunners are a one-point favorite for the game scheduled for December 21st.
