Who is Stephen Jones Trying to Convince?

By Jason Minnix
With just over a week to go before the NFL draft, most Dallas Cowboys fans are split on what they think the Cowboys should do and it seems most are not thrilled with what the Cowboys have done in free agency.
“I don’t think you ever win the Super Bowl in the off-season” is what Cowboys VP Stephen Jones said on 105.3 The Fan today.
While true, it is where you build your team to compete for the Super Bowl when the season begins and as we sit here on April 19th, the Cowboys roster isn’t as good as the team that lost to San Francisco in the playoffs.
Stephen Jones also said during the radio interview on the loss of Randy Gregory that “when you look at production and look at what Dorance Armstrong has done, he’s right there from a production standpoint with Randy.”
I am not sure who Stephen is trying to convince – him or you with that statement. Armstrong is a good player but he is not yet at a Randy Gregory level and if he was at that level, why would the Cowboys have gone down to the wire with a massive contract offer with Randy Gregory?
Give me your thoughts on Twitter @JasonMinnix and of course we will be talking about it on The Blitz from 4-7p.
